The crowning glory of Playford Alive, the centre will be set around a traditional main street with stunning landscaping and public areas, plus loads of car parking. Whether you head there for work, shopping, a caffeine hit or a catch up with friends, the new town centre is sure to become one of your favourite spots.
The beauty of convenience.
The shopping precinct is just the start of the convenience that's set to come. Once it's up and running, a residential and mixed-use development will be created, overlooking the town park and the northern end of the precinct. Close to new and existing homes, transport, schools and health care, Playford Alive's new town centre is designed to make life easier and more enjoyable.
It's all about to happen.
The total site for the new town centre will be a whopping 43,000m2 made up of two parcels of land north of Curtis Road, with a main street created by the extension of Peachey Road. The retail component of the new town centre will command 16,300m2 . Split into two stages and built by Woolworths Limited, it will include a huge supermarket, Big W plus a wide range of specialty retail stores.
The first stage of development is due to commence in 2012 and will include the supermarket and 1,800m2 of specialty shops. The second stage, comprising Big W and more retailers, is set to begin in 2013 with an aim to start trading by the end of 2014.
